This extension will detect any numeric field type and will automatically add the ability to insert the thousand and/or decimal separator into the Input Textbox. This is useful when your end-users are typing the numeric data moreover contains many digits (thousands, million, billion, decimal) then they should now feel more comfortable than before.

By using this extension, then you don't need to handle the validation such as allowing the numeric or non-numeric characters in the Input Textbox of your numeric field. You simply define the Format type from View Tag pane of Fields setup of your PHPMaker project, then regenerate all the script files again as usual.
